Data Requirements
Asset ID (required)
- Asset ID is the primary identifier Vinpoint uses for search and pairing
- If you use a VIN, it must be entered in as an Asset ID
- You may also use a stock number as the Asset ID
- If you do, the Stock field should only be used for a secondary stock number or lot reference
- Note: Do not enter VIN in stock field. Always place VINs and other primary identifiers in Asset ID
Asset Type
- Set Asset Type as "RV" to quickly define all assets in the upload at once
- If you select “Asset Type column included in uploaded file” you must define Asset Type as "RV" in your file. This feature is for imports that include multiple asset types.
Stock (optional)
- Must be at least 5 characters to be searchable
- No more than 20 characters
- Cannot be a 17-character VIN
Year (optional)
Make (optional)
Model (optional)
Color (optional)
Tip: When uploading a file, download the import template to get started faster
Review & Validate
Confirm all RV data appears in correct columns
Once finished you’ll see a success message or a notice that your RVs are processing. Once complete, you’ll receive an email confirmation with the import results
Now you’re ready to pair your imported RVs
Pair RV with ICQR Labels
Vinpoint Mobile App
See How to pair ICQR labels with assets for step by step instructions on pairing
Be sure to enter the Asset ID exactly as it was imported or Vinpoint will not find the RV
Asset Type should automatically set to "RV" from the import, and the imported asset details should be displayed
Review the RV details and add any missing information if needed
